Role and responsibilities: 

The nurse executive is accountable for patient care services across the healthcare continuum and a member of the senior leadership team. The nurse executive facilitate the design of patient care delivery, advance the discipline of nursing, build relationships, connect with staff and collegues and demonstrates fiscal accountability.

  • Client population: members of the community, and nurses at every level.
  • Practice settings: the nurse executive can practice in either the inpatient or outpatient settings.
  • Hours and on-call duties:  Flexible 8a-4p schedule M-F, On-call one weekend every other month
  • Requirements: Strong leadership and management skills, a critical thinker with excellent communication and decision making skills. 
  • The minimum education requirements include a Masters degree in the Science of Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business Administration or equivalent
